Scammers Impersonating Eastern Staffing & Recruiting

Recently, we have been alerted to fraudulent activity where individuals are using our company name to target job seekers, primarily through messaging apps like WhatsApp and via text messages. These fraudsters attempt to deceive candidates by offering fake job opportunities, requesting sensitive information, or even asking for payments.

WE DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ASK FOR PAYMENT IN EXCHANGE FOR A JOB OFFER OR CONDUCT BUSINESS THROUGH INFORMAL CHANNELS LIKE WHATSAPP OR TEXT MESSAGING.

How These Scams Work

Scammers are reaching out through WhatsApp, text messages, or email, using Eastern Staffing & Recruiting’s name to build trust. Scammers have obtained our company logos and try to appear to be a representative from our firm. They may promise lucrative job offers or opportunities that seem too good to be true, and often request personal information such as Social Security numbers, bank details, or even payments to secure a position.

• Verify communication through our website or contact us directly to confirm the legitimacy.
• Check email addresses carefully. Legitimate emails from our company will come from an official domain such as @hireeastern.com.

• Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): File a report with the FBI at https://www.ic3.gov.
• Your State Attorney General’s Office: Find your attorney general at https://www.naag.org/find-my-ag/.
• Text: Alert the phone carrier by copying the text message and forwarding it to 7726 (SPAM).
